As part of our long-term building sustainable growth strategy, we have an excellent opportunity for a Trainee/Assistant Estimator to join our friendly team at Coleman Construction and Utilities.

We have a proven track record of delivering civil projects within the water sector and are perfectly placed to be a key delivery partner for the AMP8 period and beyond!

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

• Attend site meetings and scoping exercises.
• Interpret the project requirements from drawings and specifications.
• Obtain sub-contract and material prices.
• Use of Causeway Estimating and measuring software.
• Contribute to programme discussions for tendering purposes.
• Handover to contract delivery team.
• Answer queries and assist contract team where required.

Knowledge / Experience / Qualifications

• Previous experience of an estimating environment is preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings.
• Good Microsoft / all around IT skills.
• Previous Causeway / other estimating software is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and contribute to the estimating and wider team.

 Hours

• 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday
