The Aspire Programme aims to develop our future talent by equipping delegates with the skills and knowledge to support the strategic direction of the business going forward, and is endorsed by the ILM.

The outcomes of the programme are as follows:

  • Provide the skills and knowledge for delegates to perform their role to a high standard
  • Ensure delegates have the right attitudes, behaviours, and values in line with the Nexus vision, mission and objectives

Through an extensive skills assessment based on excellence within the context of a Site Foreman role with Tamdown, high potential individuals are selected to engage in a development programme aiming to highlight their practical talents and utilise their learning styles to develop their leadership capability to enable them to progress to a Foreman role within the organisation. The programme aims to embed the goals and culture of the organisation, seek to recognise and develop those individuals, and empower them to lead and demonstrate high performance amongst the sites they are allocated through interactive experiential learning. The programme is also endorsed by the ILM.

The outcomes of the programme are as follows:

  • To develop our aspiring Foremen with the skills and knowledge to carry out the role to a high standard
  • Support succession planning in the business by creating a talent pool of individuals ready and able to step up to the next level

The ILM Aspiring and Front Line Manager Programme aims to develop our new and aspiring managers in terms of their leadership skills and knowledge to become more effective in both managing their teams in delivering the goals of the business, and equates to an ILM level 3 award.

The outcomes of the programme are as follows:

  • To create a platform for self-development
  • To ‘Walk the talk’ aligned to the organisation’s expectations
  • To grow and retain talent
  • To create leaders, not followers
  • To drive a performance culture

The ILM Experienced Manager Programme aims to develop our existing experienced managers in terms of their leadership skills and knowledge to become more strategic and effective in delivering the goals of the business and equates to an ILM level 5 award.

Our Graduate programmes are designed for those educated to degree level looking to start a professional career within a commercial or construction focused discipline, such as within Quantity Surveying, Estimating and Project Management.
